To prepare for your appointment with a mortgage lender, here are a few things to bring:

• One full month's recent pay stubs with year-to-date earnings (if self-employed 2 years' tax returns)
• The two most recent yearend W-2's
• Your two most recent bank statements
• Your residence history for the last two years
• Loan and/or credit card information, including name, address and account numbers of creditors
• Gift Letters if additional monies are needed for closing
• Construction contacts, plans and specs if a construction is planned
• Divorce decrees, stipulations, child support if applicable
• Letter of explanation for adverse credit reports
• Letter of explanation for gap in employment
